Private Seawall Project

This project aims to encourage private beachfront property owners to complete construction of certified seawalls for their properties. City of Gold Coast has identified 236 private properties as having no certified seawall. The target is for another $6 million of private seawalls to be completed over a four year period.

Joseph Consulting’s role has been to influence, champion and guide activity to stimulate the construction of private seawalls, such as:

• Solution based advocacy to streamline the approval process.
• Develop and implement the strategic plan and direction of the project.
• Develop and implement specific area-based strategies that encapsulate particular demographic characteristics, issues and beachfront property types.
• Develop and implement specific whole of city strategies that build awareness and facilitate a positive approval process.

Narrowneck Shoreline Response Project

This project aimed to calibrate a numerical model capable of predicting the shoreline evolution with actual shoreline data.

Joseph Consulting provided project management services for this innovative and highly complex project. The services included; coordination of specialist sub consultants, independent reviewers and the client to facilitate agreement and ensure project objectives were achieved.
