MVP business systems to achieve ISO 9001 compliance

SandMap Directors have held a life-long interest in the impacts of sand movement and seabed shape on waves and boating channels. They also identified that agencies responsible for the management of water bodies have an increasing requirement for accurate data to inform management decision making.

Joseph Consulting have provided SandMap management consulting services that defined their business process and laid the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) foundation for ISO 9001 certification. The work was completed incrementally across 6 steps.

Step 1: Defined SandMap business process. Reviewed the current business processes and undertook a gap analysis.

Step 2: Updated SandMap’s generic ISO9001 documentation with some of their business process.

Step 3: Defined roles required for the business and created an organisational chart/job description matrix. Created an annual leadership schedule (management reviews, staff performance reviews, internal audits, etc)

Step 4: Undertook a software systems review and recommended an MVP.

Step 5: Established a centralised MVP software and business system.

Step 6: Re-wrote ISO 9001 documentation to align with streamlined software systems and management practices.
